At BUMDO, we believe that everyone deserves a safe and comfortable place to live — especially people with disabilities. Many disabled Muslims in Liberia struggle to find proper housing that meets their needs. Some live in poor conditions, while others have no home at all.
To help solve this problem, we started the Islamic Peace City Housing Project. The goal of this project is to build clean, safe, and accessible homes where disabled Muslims and their families can live with dignity and peace. These homes will be designed to make life easier for people with physical challenges and will also reflect Islamic values.
We are still raising money to build the full Peace City, but we have already helped hundreds of Muslims in need. So far, we have:
Repaired broken homes
Helped families pay rent
Provided basic items like mattresses and kitchenware
This support has made a big difference, especially for widows, orphans, and the physically challenged.
“A home is not just a building — it is a place of safety, respect, and comfort.”
What We Plan to Do Next:
Build over 100 affordable homes in a peaceful, Islamic environment
Include mosques, learning centres, and spaces for children to play
Make sure all homes are suitable for people with disabilities
How You Can Help:
Donate money, land, or building materials
Share our work with others
Make duʿāʾ (prayers) for the success of this project
