We know that being disabled can make life difficult — not just physically, but also emotionally and financially. Many disabled Muslims in our communities struggle with poverty, loneliness, and lack of opportunity. That’s why we started the Community Support Programme.
This programme helps people gain the skills and support they need to live independently and with confidence. We work with people who are physically challenged, visually or hearing impaired, widowed, orphaned, or struggling in life.
So far, we’ve offered:
Vocational training in sewing, soap-making, computer basics, and more
Counselling and advice for people dealing with stress, grief, or family problems
Support packages that include food, clothing, walking sticks, and hygiene kits
Help finding jobs or starting small businesses
“When someone learns a skill and starts earning, they feel strong and proud again.”
What We Hope to Do Next:
Open a permanent training and resource centre
Offer more types of training to suit different needs
Provide group counselling for widows, youth, and disabled couples
Visit rural areas to help people who cannot travel to us
How You Can Help:
Donate tools, materials, or training supplies
Sponsor someone to learn a skill
Volunteer your time or knowledge
Spread the word and encourage others to support
